It makes me already looking forward to November.
Kristen really has had a great season. At the beginning of the season, she was a little down because the judges were scoring lower than what she was used to. But once she got past that initial shock, she did great. ... To go on to state with the competition at our district is quite an accomplishment.
We were pretty close to making it (as a team to state). That makes it a good year.
Kristen's an incredible person and competitor. She takes the nerves that you have coming into a meet like this and uses them to her advantage. ... She's one of a kind. She's great to coach.
We had a really strong day on floor and vault. Those continue to be our strongest events. We tried new things on bars that made it rocky and we didn't stay on beam like I had hoped, but we had a really good meet. We had our second-highest (overall team) score of the season.
It definitely was a positive year. We saw a lot of growth as a team, which is nice. We progressed through the season and added new skills.
I'm waiting for the golden meet to come, where all the pieces to the puzzle fit. Hopefully that meet will be the district meet.
