We always suggest that people plan for the worst and hope for the best when traveling up to the Sierra.

You want the traffic to thin out. You don't want it bumper to bumper. Then you have multi-vehicle accidents.

We've had previous slides, but nothing of this magnitude. Emergency repairs won't start until the hillside stabilizes.

That is something we are going to try to really delve into and determine. Obviously property owners have issues and we don't want to be a contributing factor (to the drainage problems).

Interstate 80 isn't able to handle the capacity of traffic that is heading up there.
