So far, I think we're looking pretty good. We've added a lot of depth — it's a pretty talented team. We're at least two-deep at every position.

We talked about that after the game. Our approach ... I think we got ourselves out early in counts. Guys are a little tired. We had a busy weekend.

I think it still leaves a sour taste. Ultimately, our goal every year is to play far into the postseason.

We haven't been that type of team, really, until today. That's the disappointing part. We started off a little bit flat, and it just kind of escalated from there.

I think Thor got a little tired at the end of the season, and this year we have the depth to give him a little rest once in awhile or DH him. Both Thor and Hopkins are swinging the bat real well right now, and Jay Zimmerman had a great sophomore year for us.

It's a large class, and it's a class full of people that love to play baseball. Five or six position players and possibly two to three pitchers will see playing time for us. That makes the returning players that much better because now they're being pushed.

I don't know that I've ever seen two back-to-back dominating performances like he's had.

This could be one of the best pitching staffs we've ever had, (and) over the years we've had some great years with some great staffs.
