"Shane Robert Watson" is an Australian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-handed fast medium bowler.

He debuted for the Australian cricket team in 2002, playing his first One Day International against South Africa. While he has become a regular member of the one-day squad, Watson only reached his 50th Test Match for Australia in the fifth Ashes match in January 2014, having debuted against Pakistani cricket team/Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground in January 2005. Despite being allocated to be Australia's designated Test all-rounder, injuries have often prevented him from claiming his position in the Test team. However, from the second half of 2009, Watson acted as Australian Test opening batsman, along with Simon Katich, but has since settled into the number three position.

Watson was awarded the 2010 Allan Border Medal and again in 2011, becoming the second player (after Ricky Ponting) to win back-to back Allan Border Medals. He won a total of 7 awards in the Tests, ODI & T20I player of the year awards category, which is the most by any player. He is the only player to win "Player of the Year" award in all formats. Watson's wife Lee, whom he married on 3 June 2010, is a Fox Sports Australia presenter.

I'd love it and I'd love to have someone around to help develop my technical skills.

Like most West Indian bowlers they've got a bit of pace.

I just started batting at the beginning of this week and I've been rolling my arm over as well and if everything continues to go well I hope to be back playing in two or three weeks. I'm probably about three or four weeks ahead of schedule.

I'm not in his class yet, but hopefully I could do a similar job. But I haven't heard anything.

The contribution that he continually does for England, I would love to do that and with the bat and ball if I keep working hard that hopefully I can be the answer to what Australia is looking for.

I know I am a good contributor and I back my ability.

A few of the guys were a little bit erratic but Daren Powell bowled well when he got it right.

I do believe I can back it up.

I do think about getting my opportunity, especially when you see the way (England's all-rounder) Andrew Flintoff has played this summer.
