We played a good game against a good team that came after us. We stepped up defensively and made some stops when we had to, and we shot much better in the second half.

We just didn't have a lot of life early. We're down 8-0 right out the gate and just were not playing well at that point. But we chip away and chip away to tie it up. It was just everybody doing a little bit here and there.

We were a bit sloppy in the first half but finally started to take care of the ball in the second. We made the free throws when we needed to down the stretch and shot well in the second half.

We talked prior to the game about our big win against Panola and how you're not a contender in this league unless you can win on the road. We felt this was a big game for us if we were going to be in the mix and was a game we had to have.

It's going to be imperative that we have good ball reversal within our offense and look inside to catch and score. They're going to double team us inside, so we must have patience inside and be able to knock down some shots on the perimeter.

I felt like we addressed some things on our defense that we were giving up, and I felt like we would play much better in the second half. But once again, we didn't have that life to start the second half.

We came out the exact opposite way I thought we would and dug ourselves a hole early, but we were able to scrap back and got the job done. We got a lot of contributions from a lot of different people and have a team capable of making runs. A lot of it is sparked by our defense, and when we decide to guard people, we can be pretty good.

We've got so many people capable of making big plays in key situations. It makes us difficult to defend.

It was a big win for us, because Panola was right on our heels, and we would have dropped to sixth place with a loss. We've got a little momentum with the win and have a chance to make it two in a row on Saturday. Third place is still a good possibility for us.
