Bunkers cost money and they're maintenance intensive.

I saw that it was about nine core values, and it rung so home and true, I said this is a fit. We are so proud to be a First Tee chapter. To see that sign here is phenomenal.

The reason the dream really started to take shape was because I had been all over the world and I was a little disenchanted with the United States golf scene. Manners, etiquette, lack thereof, slow play, cart paths - all of that combined, I didn't want to do that the rest of my life.

Once we achieve the practice facility, this place will be absolutely world class.

The community outpouring and the donation of clubs has been phenomenal. I bet I get a phone call a day. Our mantra is we don't turn anything down.

Now my passion is different. Now my passion is guiding this fantastic thing known as the First Tee.

I could start to see maybe in my late 20s and early 30s that whenever the Navy was over with, I wanted to come live here. And Carol being a sailor also took to that notion.
