FameRank: 5

"Robert Anton Wilson" was an American author, novelist, psychologist, essayist, copy editing/editor, playwright, poet, futurist, and self-described agnostic mysticism/mystic. Recognized as an Discordianism#Episkopos/Episkopos, Pope, and saint of Discordianism, Wilson helped publicize the group through his writings and interviews.

Wilson described his work as an "attempt to break down conditioned associations, to look at the world in a new way, with many models recognized as models or maps, and no one model elevated to the truth". His goal being "to try to get people into a state of generalized agnosticism, not agnosticism about God alone but philosophical skepticism/agnosticism about everything."

Bigotry, ideologies etc. block the ability to receive; robotic reality-tunnels block the ability to decode or integrate new signals; censorship blocks transmission.

The shock of discovering that most of the power in the world is held by ignorant and greedy people can really bum you out at first; but after you've lived with it a few decades, it becomes, like cancer and other plagues, just another problem that we will solve eventually if we keep working at it.

I think I got off on the wrong planet. Beam me up Scotty, there's no rational life here.
