Essentially, this bridge has reached its life expectancy.

We are looking at opening that project for competitive bid sometime in early fall.

As long as you're not putting salt on a dry surface, it usually sticks. We anticipate the salt will be working fine.

We have the money now, and there's no denying that the roads we're rebuilding need to be done.

They're pretty extensive repairs. I fully anticipate we should have those bridges reopened to traffic some time in October.

Four bridges might not seem like a lot, but two of them are complete replacements.

Traditionally we don't do sweeping in the winter months, but we've been blessed with a mild January.

This was kept in mind while planning this project, to stage getting the interchange done with Beck and the Haggerty bridge done before the start of the project on Sheldon. We want the entire M-14 project to be completed by Nov. 1, when the Sheldon railroad project could begin.

We did a lot of work on I-94 in the Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor areas in anticipation of this M-14 rebuild.
