Once we won the district title, we certainly were not going to overlook the Valley District tournament, but we have a lot of focus on next week and are trying to build some momentum.

Loudoun County came out with a lot of energy in the second half. We didn't do a very good job of handling their full-court pressure, and we didn't make good decisions with the ball. We had a really good first half, but the ball just stopped going in.

I don?t think that we?re certainly going to be able to match up with them size-wise. We have to try to keep the big kids off the boards on both ends of the floor and try to make it more of a transition game and a 94-foot game.

When it?s your tournament and it?s on your floor, I think our kids take a great deal of pride in trying to win our own tournament.

Our kids just did a great job of coming out of the locker room and taking control of the game. We just talked about trying to turn up our pressure a little bit. We had done that pretty well in the first half, but we did really well in the third quarter?. It was a pretty frenetic pace, but it was the kind of pace that we like in that game. We were able to get them to turn the ball over quite a bit.

The idea behind full-court pressure is not necessarily the idea that you?re going to get turnovers every trip down the floor. But it has a wearing-down effect over time.

Based on scouting reports, a lot of people were telling me that our pressure would hurt them. It proved to be right tonight.

We really put the game away at that point. We really got active defensively and created ourselves a lot of turnovers and a lot of easy baskets.
