"Robert Guy "Rob" Atkinson" is an English professional Association football/footballer who plays as a Defender (association football)/defender for Accrington Stanley F.C./Accrington Stanley.

Atkinson started his professional career with Barnsley F.C./Barnsley in 2004, and then spent time on loan with Scarborough F.C./Scarborough, Halifax Town F.C./Halifax Town, Rochdale A.F.C./Rochdale and Grimsby Town F.C./Grimsby Town. Following three loan spells with Grimsby he joined the club on a permanent basis in 2009 before signing with Fleetwood Town F.C./Fleetwood Town two years later. He has also been capped twice by the England C national football team/England C football team.
