There is one clear fact that emerges from the events of the last sixteen months: management of the Utility Board's assets should be in the hands of a full time employee who has the education and experience to do the job.

We haven't had any team state titles, but we've had several district champions and a lot of good teams here. We've had teams get close, but at some point, a school comes and trips us up.

It was fun. I was really hoping the team would do well, and I wanted to do my part. With Howell, it's really intense.

With the way the area is growing, we hope we can mix a little bit of the old with the new. The old being our tradition and success and the new being the amount of talent that we hope to get.

In making this motion, I am publicly asking Mayor Andrews to support the Board as it moves forward in the process of finding a qualified superintendent.
