Entertainment has become such an expensive thing. We try to touch a few musical genres, but it's tough. The entertainers realize they can be a hot commodity.

Years ago at this fair, I had a promoter tell me he could get me a young lady named Reba McEntire. I could've got her for $5,000, but we wanted big names that year, so we passed.

The biggest [return] we ever had. The new midway, produced by Wade Shows, was a hit with fairgoers. They had several big days.

Money is always going to play a part. But we were impressed by the things Wade Shows brought to the table. They gave us ideas we never even thought about and that got our attention.
