Make believe that we're taxpayers, and we want to support you, but we want to know what it's going to cost to run these schools. People want to know what it's going to cost.

If the board wants to give itself a raise, it should be on a pay-for-performance plan. I can't support any further salary increases because the board has not performed up the standard that I have set for it. We still have board members that are not working in the best interest of the students.

A 6-5 vote was -- you really can't take that to the public. We felt that referendum was doomed to fail.

I've fought against that high school more than anyone, and I voted in favor of this.

For about eight years, various board members have suggested that we have an absentee rate that is too high.

Once again we got the last-minute advisory. Well, look, we've all been talking about it in terms of May. It seemed like the best compromise.

By the time that school gets built and is up off the ground, there could be enough students to justify it.
