I think Paris is just what we saw on tape. We knew coming in that Paris wasn't a burner. But he is smart, he's got excellent hands, he's a thumper, he's got that toughness and he showed that during the course of the preseason. And we got a good look at him in three of the preseason games and in all three, he showed up in the running game or the passing game.

Everybody has an opportunity to express their opinion.

Right now, their job is to give the defense a good look. That's their practice, that's their game. From week to week, it'll be a different challenge with the routes. But we can work on our releases and coming out of the breaks, all that stuff. And when the time comes, I'm going to sit back and watch them.

I've never been any place where we kept seven receivers. With that said, I'm delighted that we were able to keep them. We're going to keep working and keep coaching them up and keep grooming them up and hopefully when their time comes, they'll be able to answer the bell.

I think J.R. is a big guy who's tough. He's not good with everything, but he's good enough to be able to work with him and he's got a lot of upside. He's got real good toughness, which is a big plus, and a lot of times you can't coach that. And he listens and will do what he's told.

We're going to develop all these guys and if we put the work in, at the end we'll profit from it.

I think this shows that they did a good job in the offseason during the scouting process of finding guys that we like and guys that we feel can play in this offense and hopefully that will show up here in the near future.

Sometimes I've been in a situation where I've had to play receivers too soon and that's not always good. A lot of times, if things don't go right, their confidence goes down and before you know it, you've got a problem.

I think what you see is a big guy who has a lot of talent.
