It's a collaborative process. I work with the governor very closely. She provides ideas, from time to time she actually dictates material. Her communication is very genuine.

Governor Rell certainly admires the work that Jim Lash has done in Greenwich. His reputation would put him on any kind of list of potential candidates. But any decision is still a ways off. The governor is going to be considering many candidates for the position.

All the governor's done is what she usually does, which is to say she'll take a look at any legislation that the members of the General Assembly decide that they want to debate and pass.

I think it is an open question whether they would want them released while there are two investigations ongoing.

Gov. Rell is dead serious when she said job creation and job retention has been at the top of her priority list since she took office. And the 28,000 jobs that the state has added in the last two years reflects that attention and effort.

The governor expects to do well in the Fourth District. It's important to do well everywhere, but she's confident that she's going to be competitive in the Fourth.

It's not a one-to-one correlation between the positions. There are things that mayors can do that are specific to their city. Governors don't always have the luxury of a one-size-fits-all solution.

It's old-style politics from an old-style politician. He's trying to run down Connecticut so he can build himself up.

The governor has never rejected an idea based on who it came from. She is always open to ideas.
