We're hoping she can get back for state. She hasn't been in the water for a couple of weeks and that's going to be real hard to come back from.

The kids swam extremely well. So much of swimming is mental now. If you're not physically ready, you're not going to be there. They had to change their approach and they did. You're swimming against the clock and trying to swim your personal best. That's all you can do.

It was a smart move. Competition is great, but you don't ever take a chance for safety. You don't want a busload of kids on I-81 driving through the snow.

It's a very nice facility and we're looking forward to going to compete in it. It's not gigantic (but) the seating is adequate.

Year-in and year-out, Hidden Valley is a powerhouse in swimming in the Roanoke area. In the past, they've been very, very good.
