It's quite a large fire on the side of the mountain facing the dock area.

A strong wind is fanning the flames and it's out of control.

We're not working as efficiently and effectively as we could be. Without adequate staff, appliances and equipment, we can't render this service as well as we should be.

We've lost nothing, by the grace... But we've still got large areas that we're busy extinguishing. We're slowly winning the battle.

We have 20 fire ground crew and 16 National Park volunteers assisting at various places to put the fire out. About 16 fire appliances including tankers and four helicopters and six water tankers are also being used.
