I'd be concerned about his handicap mark. He could run well against very good horses without winning, and for the sake of showing he isn't good enough to run in a Gold Cup, we could mess up his chance to win a big handicap.

In another 100 yards he would have been in front. In fact, in another 50 yards.

At least he died enjoying what he did best.

I've got two or three more four-year-olds to run in the next couple of weeks who could yet become Triumph Hurdle contenders but this horse would definitely be the highest-rated on the Flat.

He doesn't run on Saturday. He might run in the AON Chase or he might go straight for the Gold Cup, I don't know yet.

I was very surprised Fair Along was ever 25-1 because he's got some of the best form against the others. Anyway, we thought he had a squeak but obviously Detroit City was the more fancied of the two.
