It hurt [Saturday] enough that I couldn't play anymore. Before the Rangers game I didn't actually feel it at all. I knew it was there but I felt good. I thought I was making progress with the groin, but unfortunately I wasn't. The thing is with the groin, you have to be 95 or 100 percent to play, that's just the way it is.

It always helps when you get to a new team and you get on the board and help out.

For me, the Number 1 thing is to play hockey and the rest of the things will work out.

This year has been kind of frustrating as far as offensive production so hopefully I can help Philadelphia and start producing offensively.

I think the luck was on our side. That's the way it is sometimes if you work hard for 60 minutes and overtime.

We grew up playing the same kind of style of hockey, so it helps. We worked pretty hard tonight, and it seemed like the chemistry was there.

It's always good when you get those goals from guys like that, so we'll take those two points and get out of here.

Obviously, I am very pleased and happy to be coming to Philadelphia. I am coming to one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, so I am very excited to play for the Flyers. That's not what we wanted to happen but we said we've got to keep going the same and things will happen. And they did happen.
