The tragedy in Louisiana and Mississippi has laid bare severe shortcomings in our ability to respond to catastrophe.

The major change we saw over the quarter was that investors were getting more optimistic about the economic growth outlook globally . . . The mood has swung from: 'What's next after Russia and Brazil?' to: 'Just how far is the U.S., the world's largest economy, going to grow?,'.

The issue with this one is that it is a size that is material to the company.

At a time when our country needs forthright leaders, this administration gives us two men more concerned with partisan spin than with human suffering. Brown and Chertoff failed America, and they must be fired immediately.

This amendment sends an important message that there is no place for hatred and violence in America.

The government, when it settles a case, ordinarily seeks jail times for officers and directors and high executives who are implicated in the conspiracy. I know that it is something that the government tries to get and will try to get it in this case, no doubt.

Hopefully in the next week or so, we can work out where it's headed.

They are not the stocks investors have focused on given their view of positive growth.

It's not like we've been in discussion with the tax office for months or weeks even, it's an assessment that has appeared out of nowhere.
