It's a unique place, kind of like Bristol on steroids. It's a lot different than all of these 1 1/2-mile tracks that it seems like we're always running on.

We come back to one of my favorite tracks with a clean slate, a ton of momentum, and one sharp-looking black race car.

We didn't decide to do this race until real late. Everybody on the No. 8 car and the No. 1 car chipped in and helped build this thing.

I'm getting more comfortable in the race car, we're communicating a lot better. ... It is just finally starting to come together for us.

Win races and contend for the championship, that's what we want to do.

We came here to test last week before our weekend off, and I'd say everything went pretty well. So, we're looking to hit the ground running. Everyone has been pretty jazzed since Richmond. Let's just see if we can pick up right where we left off.

We didn't have much to lose, so we took a gamble there. I was a little nervous. I was lifting early. It all worked out.

For me, I'm sure I gained some respect racing with those guys. Especially as competitively as we did. We are looking forward to a few more races like that this year. It is hard to improve on that. You got six more spots to go and you can win one of those things. That's tough to do.

Yeah, it was getting frustrating.
