It was very nice obviously, ... I am playing a lot better recently so it was kind of justified I think.

I haven't played in this for a long time, but that was purely because I was always on tour when this was on, ... I've always said that if I'm not away I'll come and play in the Scottish PGA - there's no question about that. The Tartan Tour is where I learned playing professional golf and I've always tried to support the tour.

It means a lot to me to win the national title. To finish 13-under-par round a course as tough as this is very encouraging and this has given me a good boost. I was here to be shot at so it's nice to win when I'm supposed to.

Someone had to have a go, but Raphael had to make a few mistakes for me to have any chance, so good luck to him, ... He was so far ahead, second place seems like winning.
