From what we've seen of him and what we've heard about him, he's very well organized. He's been very successful. He realizes they need to shorten the game, not beat themselves and cut down on mistakes. From what we've seen … their kids seem real excited. They hustle to the football and play hard.

This team doesn't have that many things to be confident about. We haven't done anything yet. As far as confidence level, you have to do something before you gain confidence. We're starting a bunch of young players everywhere. We've got to try to find our chemistry. I don't think our kids are overlooking Albertville.

We've actually had complaints about dogs pooping on Liberty Bridge.

Lee has talent. It takes us 10-to-15 plays to score. It takes them one or two.

We're going to go down there and try to win.

The biggest thing is we're going to get a lot of looks [from their defense]. They bring a lot of stunts and stuff, and we want to see how our kids handle that.

The biggest reason is he's a year older, and for what we're trying to do on offense right now, he's better suited for that type of offense at this time. We're more of an I-team, a run the option-type team. Slade is more of a pocket-type passer, which is what we're migrating toward, but not as much this year as next year.

We're just going to try to run our base offense. At Southside, we used several different sets. We even used the shotgun. Defensively, we want to try to be as physical as we can be and not miss assignments. We want to make sure we're the right gaps.

I thought the JV, overall, played pretty well. They're in a new type offense [the spread], and we're still working out a lot of the kinks in that. Defensively, I thought we gave great effort.
