It's a global economy and we hear that a lot. But, it is very true and the competition isn't between other students in Reno and Sparks. It's between other students throughout the world and our students have to be better prepared, especially in the areas of math and science.

Early detection is everything. Late cancers don't do well, early cancers do.

Therapy has totally changed these days. When I first started up in town 18 years ago there were 10 chemicals (medicines to treat cancer), now there are 50.

Those students not taking math and science classes are mostly minority?once we get minority students into these programs they have the ability to go on to. Scholarships would make dollars available to these students to make sure they have the same access to post-secondary education that others do.
