He specialized in the technical disclipines (Giant Slalom skiing/giant slalom and Slalom skiing/slalom) and won three discipline championships in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup/World Cup: Slalom skiing/slalom in 1969 Alpine Skiing World Cup/1969 and 1970 Alpine Skiing World Cup/1970 and Giant Slalom skiing/giant slalom in 1971 Alpine Skiing World Cup/1971. He also won two silver medals in slalom and Alpine skiing combined/combined at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1970/1970 World Championships at Val Gardena, Italy.
