"Pat Hill" is an American football coach and former player. He served as the head football coach at California State University, Fresno/Fresno State from 1997 until his dismissal following the 2011 season. In 15 seasons as head coach as Fresno State, he led the Fresno State Bulldogs football/Bulldogs to a record of 112–80, 11 bowl game appearances, and a share of the 1999 Western Athletic Conference title.

We're very small and lean in weight, but very athletic. I made a real change in my philosophy of offensive line play. We are working very hard at keeping our offensive linemen light and lean.

Because of the success we've had at Fresno State, I have been contacted by several NFL teams regarding their head coaching openings. Since becoming head coach at Fresno State, I have never interviewed for another job, but with so much interest at this time from NFL teams, I owe it to my family to look and listen.

It was a great process and learning experience. I think it speaks volumes about the quality of our program at Fresno State. With the schemes we run and type of young men who come through our program, it's a great testament to our overall program that several NFL teams had a genuine interest.

We are very proud of the academic progress we've made. I feel our program is as competitive both academically and athletically as any in the nation. We have gone to seven straight bowl games and our APR score ranks in the top 10 in the nation. That's a great accomplishment by our team and our staff.

I'm always going to counsel and advise student-athletes in their best interest. Right now, Richard is in a position where he is expected to go on the first day of the draft, and he believes he's ready to start making a living in the NFL. I can't argue with that.
