"Pat Cox" is an Irish politician and former television current affairs (news format)/current affairs presenter. He was President of the European Parliament from 2002 to 2004 and served as a member of the European Parliament from 1989–2004. Before this Cox was a journalist and presenter with RTÉ's Today Tonight (Ireland)/Today Tonight and then a Teachta Dála (TD) for Cork South–Central (Dáil Éireann constituency)/Cork South–Central.
