"Patrick Lance Borders" is an American former Major League Baseball player and current manager of the Williamsport Crosscutters. A catcher, he is perhaps best remembered for being the Most Valuable Player of the 1992 World Series as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays. Borders also won an Olympic Games/Olympic gold medal with the United States' baseball team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.

I remember talking to a pitcher from another team who was telling me how good of control he had. But to be that fine the first day of spring training, it's really nice to see. It surprised me.

I was impressed with his velocity. He lived up to the billing that I've heard.
