We want to allow a lot of time for everyone to enjoy the outdoor markets, bistros and Parisian culture in general.

The church of Santa Croce was amazing. The tombs of Galileo and Michelangelo are there.

We were on the move quite a bit on the Italy trip, but Paris will be a slower pace by design.

That was definitely a highlight of the trip. It is absolutely one of the most amazing things you will ever see. The detail is unbelievable. It is impossible to believe that the lifelike veins protruding from David's arms are made of marble.

It really brought home to me the fact that we, as Americans, do have a tendency to get in too much of a hurry. The different pace of the Italian way of life was really a defining feature of the trip.

I'm extremely proud of Ward. It's good to see him moving on and continuing his education. And I also like the fact that he's only a couple of hours away. He won't have far to come back home and get a meal.

The visit to Monet's house will be very special, since it is only open to the public at a certain time of year. Since we will be there in spring, the flowers should be beautiful.

There are things you've always assumed - or heard your entire life - and some of them turn out to be just plain untrue.

We had the services of a bilingual group coordinator the entire time. We were never without some sort of assistance or guidance, even during our free time.
