I know people who go through the whole ceremony and others who just do the four of five things and make a couple of blessings. Every family has their own tradition that they follow.
"Norene Gilletz" is "the leading author of kosher cookbooks in Canada," as well as a food consultant and cooking instructor. She has also run a catering shop and is a contributor to the Canadian Jewish News. She raised her family in Montreal, and now lives in Toronto.
Her first cookbook was Second Helpings, Please! (Montreal: B'nai B'rith Women, 1968). Several years after the introduction into the North American market of the food processor by Cuisinart, Gilletz published The Pleasures of Your Processor (1980; later renamed The Food Processor Bible), a work cited as "sure to please." Among her other cookbooks are MealLeaniYumm! (later titled Healthy Helpings); Norene’s Healthy Kitchen; and The New Food Processor Bible, described as "full of useful information, helpful hints and chatty asides, together with excellent recipes."
Her other cookbooks include MicroWays, The Low Iodine Diet Cookbook, and The PCOS Diet Cookbook.
