Four things were wrong with the way we played. Too many stupid penalties (16 for 51 minutes), too many turnovers by the defense, too many odd-man breaks and too many missed opportunities.

I thought we created some really good scoring chances in the third, but Gill came up big. We played hard to the end and definitely took over the momentum. This is it for us, we can't have a slow start tomorrow.

I was pleased with our offensive opportunities. We played poorly defensively and it was mostly our forwards. There was far too much pressure on our defense.

All three lines scored in that period. We didn't feel we were out of the game (after the second period). We tried to come out and win the third period to carry momentum into Saturday's game.
