The best part about this race was that everyone ran to their potential. There was a good energy with the group, and I think we will continue to build on that. Luckily, the state bids aren't handed out at the start of the year.

Katie had a great meet. She had a leg pull and didn't run much this week. But she has a heart of a champion.

I was really happy with how both teams ran. Everyone ran aggressive, and we made a huge improvement over our first race in Yreka (Calif.). I don't think this is indicative of how we'll perform against these same teams at the end of the season.
