The intensity and the game speed that the girls will see on a daily basis are very different than their high school experiences.

Each morning I sit down at the computer ... there's another country, another outbreak or another human case. It keeps us breathless.

I'm extremely happy for the team. They have shown fantastic growth and improvement this season.

We're purposely blending the classrooms next to each other to make it a more unified Early Childhood Development Center.

We're very excited and it's a very wise move. Putting all the preschool kids together allows us to really concentrate school readiness skills. This will also allow us to provide more opportunities for families.

The problem is, ... we can't predict when it will occur. As one of my colleagues said, the influenza clock is ticking, but we don't know what time it is.

They really had to weather adversity [Sunday]. It's not easy to be scored upon, but how they responded to that challenge demonstrated the type of team that we are quickly becoming.

We are expecting the freshmen to make an immediate impact with their scoring prowess. I think all the kids will progress to where our intended goal is — to be in the Big Ten championship and to make a run at the NCAA Championship — so we have high hopes for these kids.

We're very young, but at the same time, things look very promising. As soon as our finishers really start finishing with consistency, things will be great for Michigan field hockey.
