What's great about these girls is they've bought into our system. All they ever talk about is defense. And today, that's what won it for us.
I wasn't surprised. This group is so mentally tough, it's unbelievable. They came into this game believing they could win it.
They have bought into the system so much. They have just continued to do everything they can to get better. They're such great kids. They're 4.0 students, they don't get into trouble, they go to class on time. And they just worked so hard.
I don't think a whole lot of people gave us a chance. When people talk about the top teams in 6A, our name is never mentioned.

Even though we had a great year, we wouldn't have been happy with anything less than going back to state.
