There are about a half-dozen farms that are very scared. We need lots of people. It really is different this year.

It's very early in the season, but the early indications are that it will be tight, or tighter than last year. Particularly with the potential for a larger crop, that's making me uneasy.

The vast majority of our agriculture employers are somewhat sympathetic, because they agree with the need for immigration reform.

There are simply not enough legal residents or citizens in the U.S. to fill all the jobs in our economy. Anti-immigration people are in deep denial about that.

We don't know what's going to happen yet but we do know the trend lines are going down for the work force and up for demand.
