I think it's an effort to try to gain some credibility by the judiciary in arena in which they've lost so much face. The credibility of the Mexican judiciary is almost nil.

The main focus of their questioning had to do with the Venezuelan community in (Southern California) and their desire to develop a profile of this community.

It's an opportune moment, given what's happening in Latin America and the fact that it brings together these various political forces on the left.
