At first, we need to house survivors in non-residential housing, we need rental properties, or empty apartments.
We wanted to take people up to the edge, but not over the edge.
We were at a cross-roads last week when we heard the news that Ft. Chaffee was no longer sending hurricane survivors to the area.
We don't know exactly how many are coming yet, but we want to make sure we can take care of all of them and not have to send some back with false hopes.
If you don't take pets, or if your house is not set up for small children, we need to know.
We had a choice to make; we could either send our donations elsewhere or we could find people to help.
Basically right now it is a personal choice for the evacuees; whether they want to stay in a shelter closer to home, or come here and start over.
The main objective for me is security, I do not want to have to answer to my neighbors.
