It's a very good program for everyone involved.

I think the incorporation issue is going to be a hot issue, not just in Celebration and Poinciana, but in places like East Orlando, which is now looking at creating a municipality of its own. If they did, it's been estimated that it could be a city of over 300,000 people.

This is a very affluent community. The citizens of Celebration contribute more to the county than they get in services.

It's one of those win-win situations. If all the certificates are sold, there's no profit. But it's good for local business. If some are not redeemed, we make some money.

I think it's worth the community looking into, although it may not be right for us. Right now, we're nothing more than a homeowners association. There's a group of people who feel we could do better and we should have our own tax base. You have a little more control of your own destiny, and from a political point of view, you get more autonomy.
