We will provide info about people's daily commutes that will allow them to make informed decisions about that commute.

We wanted to put together something that would be used by the general public, but would be used by IDOT personnel or other transportation personnel, as well.

We hope to begin the program soon. We have been doing it on a limited basis, and it's been successful.

We already have the Getting Around Illinois Web site, which is a one-stop destination for travelers. We want to expand this by installing kiosks and making usage as easy as possible.

This would be an important economic development tool for the state and allow us to expand at a much more rapid pace while providing for economic development as well.

The department's stance is still that we would prefer to finance it through conventional means.

We are all for community air service. However, we do not provide operating subsidies. Our funding is for construction activities.

That is our eventual goal: To bring that real-time data onto this type of Web site. That is still a ways down the road.

We have them and will be training with them now. We expect to begin using them at the beginning of this construction season.
