It's been pretty extraordinary. Despite the press conference on Wednesday it's taken me a bit of time to get over the defeat [at Fir Park]. It was hurting. Someone just asked me did I have any regrets and my only one would be that, due to circumstances, I don't have a chance now to go and try and regain the championship for next season. It's gone. There's a finality to it.

It's a massive blow and we will miss him going into a game like this.

Henrik [Larsson] has been a good friend of Alan's over the years, so Alan decided to make it a bit easier for him.

[Earlier, he had spoken excitedly about the injection of cash he is expecting for next season and of his] genuine belief that there will be money available to get what I would call really decent players into the football club. ... Martin O'Neill has given his clearest hint yet...

The goals gave us confidence and the tempo was good, but in the second half we over indulged, started playing fancy flicks and our centre-half started trying back-heels which might please the fans, but I'm not sure about the manager.

I think the club have learned one or two wee lessons from this.

In the first half I thought we played really well and I was pleased with the way started.

There are a couple of difficult games coming up like away to Hearts.

I am leaving Celtic purely for personal reasons and I am extremely sorry to be departing in such circumstances.
