I think it's fair to say that we don't want this event to be in opposition with the university. We want this to be as inclusive as possible.

The title accurately reflects the aims and purposes of the event, which are to showcase the very best of filmmaking and to showcase gay and lesbian film within a tradition of film scholarship and a spirit of inclusion at this university.
