"Mark Richard Hamill" is an American actor, writer, producer, and director. He is best known for portraying the hero Luke Skywalker in the 1977 film Star Wars (film)/Star Wars and its two sequels, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. He is also well known for his role as Pvt. Griff in The Big Red One starring along side Lee Marvin in this 1980 war movie. Other early films in his career are Corvette Summer (1978), then Slipstream (1989 film)/Slipstream (1989), The Guyver (1991), Guyver: Dark Hero (1994), and Time Runner (1993). In recent decades, he has become a prolific Voice acting/voice actor, most notably as Joker (comics)/The Joker in a number of Batman films, television series, and video games (beginning with Batman: The Animated Series in 1992).
