Based on our review, we believe there's anywhere (between) 600,000 to 800,000 deceased or duplicate names on the qualified voter file. It's not just a Detroit problem. It's a statewide problem. Their maintenance and operation of the file leaves a lot to be desired.

They are obviously looking after them and probably trying to find ways to resolve this as much as we are. It is just a waiting game and that is the most painful and most difficult part for the family.

Of course I'm worried. I'd be foolish to tell you I'm not worried, ... But I think we've got enough strength in the party, strength in individual candidates, so that we hang on to that majority.

They clearly haven't done enough. Whatever they have done hasn't been effective. Only after they got that letter from DOJ did they begin their most recent program to reimburse local clerks.
