We tried to fix some problems that showed up in the Coeur d'Alene game. We were too direct in our attack against Coeur d'Alene, trying to go too much up the middle. We used this game to work on our pace of play and our possession.

This win tonight was not just Kayla going off and scoring four goals. She finished the way she needed to finish ... but she doesn't get those balls if the rest of the team doesn't step up behind her. It was a total team effort.

Our defense caused them problems. We wanted to pick up our intensity and limit what (Lewiston) could do, and the defense rose to the challenge.

We came back a lot more prepared in the second half. When we put the challenge to them at the half. They refocused on what they needed to do and took control of the game very quickly.

It was a heavyweight fight. The team that capitalized on a mistake was going to win it in the end. Honestly, it very easily could have ended in a 3-3 tie.

We've taken the monkey off our back. Now, Sandpoint is beatable.
