They are just picking up the early green shoots, anything that is left over. They are really kind of grazers and opportunists. That is what they are doing now, just feeding and they move around a lot as they go.

The best thing is to be patient and realize that it might take you a while to find the birds. They feed in a different field every day and if you come down to look at them, you kind of have to start at the water.

It is open, free to the public. Come down to view these beautiful snow geese as they are sitting on a reservoir just outside of Delta called Gunnison Bend Reservoir. And we have a big tent set up here and the city has helped us get some nice facilities there and there are booths and crafts and it is fun to come out and see the birds and mingle with the people here.
