That was the most points I can remember scoring in girls basketball.
I thought we came out focused. For the first time all year, we played well all four quarters.
It was a total team effort. I was pleased with our intensity, enthusiasm and concentration.
I can see the ball. Finish the game or walk off the court and default.
We were cold from the floor. Then we came out in the third quarter with a full-court press, and it paid off for us. We were able to control the game the rest of the way.
The zone forced them to use a lot of clock in getting shots. We did a good job on (junior guard Chelsea) Atkinson (eight points). They never really got their outside game going. But they were beating us in the full court.
We're fairly talented and hopefully the second half of the season will be the best basketball we play. The girls are really getting my style of basketball. Our kids are playing really well ? I'm seeing some good signs.
We executed our press-breaker well.
We've got a group that works well together. We've got some work to do in some areas, but to be 10-1 and 5-0 in the conference, I feel good about the potential of this team.
