I don't know where her life journey has taken her since 1989. She never did anything anti-gay. But you never know where people go in the political spectrum over the years.

We weren't really pleased with her responses, although they weren't all bad, ... I just wondered why she was here, because she didn't seem to be the typical officeholder who was supportive of our equal rights.

If you can just imagine me with a large question mark over my head -- that's really my impression.

I remember her screening quite well. I remembered before I found the questionnaire that some of her answers were, so to speak, 'good' -- it was a good answer to believe in civil rights.

She didn't seem like a right-wing nut or anything like that.

She was not hostile nor did she come across as some kind of right-wing ideologue.
