"Lin Dan " is a professional badminton player from China. He is a two-time Olympic champion, five-time world champion, and five-time All England champion. Considered by many to be the greatest singles player of all time, by the age of 28 Lin had completed the "Super Grand Slam", having won all nine major titles in the badminton world: Badminton at the Summer Olympics/Olympic Games, BWF World Championships/World Championships, Badminton World Cup/World Cup, Thomas Cup, Sudirman Cup, BWF Super Series Masters Finals/Super Series Masters Finals, All England Open Badminton Championships/All England Open, Badminton at the Asian Games/Asian Games, and Badminton Asia Championships/Asian Championships, becoming the first and only player to achieve this feat. He would become the first ever badminton player to complete the Super Grand Slam twice if he wins the Super Series Masters Finals again.

Lin Dan also became the first men's singles player to retain the Olympic gold medal by winning in Badminton at the 2008 Summer Olympics/2008 and defending his title in Badminton at the 2012 Summer Olympics/2012.

He has been nicknamed "Super Dan" by Peter Gade.

I wanted to show the stamina and strength of the men's singles game in China so I focused really hard to aim to get one point at a time and when I got to 10-13 I felt much more confident.
