Gregorio hasn't gone this deep before, so we felt it was best to take him out then. These aren't the Major Leagues. Even if a guy has a no-hitter or something going on, we have to make sure he doesn't do anything that might hurt him later on.

It was the character and the attitude of the players that made the difference. They didn't give in to fatigue or lack of production. It was a pleasure to go to the park every day because these kids wanted to play.

He wants to take a shot at it, and I think he realizes this is a pretty good opportunity.

Playing at home is always a lot easier than playing on the road. Having the last at-bat and playing in front of our own crowd helps.

Garrett was both a pitcher and catcher during his career. We don't have a catching coach full time, so that will help our team. He has played at the Triple-A level. It is important to have that experience, to help our players prepare for the next level, to be more well-rounded.
