The feedback from the teachers is that they understand the repairs are needed. It's a little harder to explain to the students. They don't want excuses. They want to know when we're going to reopen.

It's really grown into a community-based occasion.

It's a wonderful family atmosphere. It's something families can bring their children to and feel comfortable about.

We need people who can physically do some labor. We also need people that are nice and friendly to guests coming into the park that are wondering where the square dancing is, where the music is, where the food is - that kind of thing.

They'll (visitors) see how people from Mexico and Texas dressed, how they cooked.

It's a much broader educational experience than anything people imagined.
